South Carolina Asphalt Pavement Association Announces Quality Pavement Award Winners
Columbia-- The South Carolina Asphalt Pavement Association (SCAPA) presented three SCAPA Quality Pavement Awards at the SCAPA Winter Conference on January 31, 2013, held at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
SCAPA’s Quality Pavement Awards program was designed to recognize contractors and owners who go above and beyond in their dedication to excellence in asphalt paving. The program promotes high quality asphalt pavement projects completed across South Carolina. This year, 8 entries were received and judged by the judges.
The following awards were presented:
I-26 Open Graded Friction Course (OGFC) Replacement
Contractor: Banks Construction Company
Owner: SCDOT District 6, Dorchester Construction
US 123 Resurfacing
Contractor: King Asphalt Inc.
Owner: SCDOT District 3, Oconee Construction
SC-39 Rehabilitation and Resurfacing
Contractor: Satterfield Construction Company
Owner: SCDOT District 7, Aiken Construction
