William (“Bill”) S. Simpson, III was named Director Emeritus of the SC Asphalt Pavement Association on Saturday, July 30, 2011. Mr. Simpson is the Senior-Vice President of Sanders Brothers Construction Company in Charleston, SC. He has the distinction of being the longest serving SCAPA board member of all time. During his tenure on the SCAPA Board of Directors, Mr. Simpson served as chaplain, chairman of many committees and task forces, Treasurer, Vice President and President. In addition to his service on the SCAPA Board of Directors, Simpson has held many leadership roles in numerous construction related organizations throughout the state and nation. Simpson is the ninth director to be named Director Emeritus since SCAPA's inception.
