2022 SCAPA Summer Conference
SCAPA Members, join your asphalt pavement industry colleagues for a weekend of networking and fun at The Charleston Place in beautiful Charleston, SC. The conference will begin on Thursday, June 23, 2022 for the SCAPA Board of Directors, and on Friday, June 24, 2022 for all SCAPA Members the Conference will conclude on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
Check-in/registration will begin Friday, June 24, 2022 at 3:00PM in the Hospitality Suite, followed by the Welcome Reception at 5:30PM at the Riviera Theatre across the street from the hotel. The SCAPA Business Program will take place on Saturday morning from 8-11:30 AM.

Saturday Afternoon optional excursions SCAPA has arranged a few optional excursions for conference attendees. Attendees must register and pay for these events in order to participate. Space is limited and first-come first-serve.

The SCAPA Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 25th, at 1:00 PM at the Patriot Points Links Course. The rate for golf is $200.00 per person and includes fees, range balls, boxed lunch and transportation to the golf course from The Charleston Place. Please let us know if you plan to use our transportation so we can plan accordingly. Transportation will leave the hotel at 12PM. Space is limited so be sure to sign up early!

King Street Candle Making Workshop You can become a Chandler (Candle Maker) at the original Candlefish Library. Candlefish is a 3-minute walk from the hotel lobby and the class will begin at 2:00PM. The cost for this excursion is $90 and includes the workshop, light snacks and cocktails. During the workshop, you will pick your scent and pour two of your very own Candlefish soy candles. You will need to return on Sunday morning to pick up your candles or arrange to have them shipped (additional fee) as they will need time to dry overnight. Again, space is limited so be sure to sign up well in advance!

On Saturday evening, you won't want to miss SCAPA's Casino Night. This event will include everything needed to have a fun and entertaining evening with our Casino Night dealers, food will include heavy hors d'oeuvres, a carving station, desserts, and of course an open bar.
The cost to attend the conference is $750.00 for SCAPA Members and $100 for a spouse/guest. The registration fee includes the Welcome Reception, Breakfast (Saturday), Business Meeting, Casino Night Event, Hospitality Suite, and conference materials. Again, Spouse/guest attendance, golf tournament, and candle-making class are additional registration items and fees. Register early, as price will increase on May 21st to $800 for Members and $150 for Spouse/Guest.

HOTEL ROOM BLOCK INFORMATION: Reservations can be made at The Charleston Place. You can reserve your room by calling 1-800-611-5545 or use the link below. The room rate is $339.00 plus 14% tax and a $2.28 destination fee per night. A deposit equaling one night's room charge must be guaranteed via major credit card. The deposit will be refunded if the hotel receives notice of cancellation seven (7) days prior to the arrival date. A failure to cancel prior to the day of arrival will result in a cancellation fee for the full length of stay. The hotel room block cut-off date is Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Rooms are on a first-come, first-serve basis. |
Deadline: Registration will close on Friday, June 3rd, 2022. Refunds will be issued for cancellations received on or before Friday, June 3rd, 2022 minus a $100 administrative fee. After this date there will be no refunds but substitutions are allowed.
